Mark your calendars for the 2012 ALLA BREVE FLUTE CHOIR! 

Melvin Lauf, Jr. is a composer of works for flute, piccolo, and flute ensemble. He is a graduate of the Armed Forces School of Music. He performed with the 113th Army Band at Fort Knox, Kentucky (1990-1994). From 1994 through 2009 Lauf was stationed at Fort Myer, Virginia with the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps. Lauf is the founder and director of Potomac Flutes and he played in the Columbia Flute Choir from 1996 through 2009. His works for flute are published by Nourse Wind Publications and FLUTE.NET Publications. In 2010 he retired from the U.S. Army and moved to Newport News, Virginia.  He currently plays flute and harp with the Chesapeake Bay Wind Ensemble.
 

REHEARSALS –   
   - Saturday, January 28 – 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
         Location: ASU Gammage Auditorium, Room 311 
   - Friday, February 10 – 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM
 
         Location: ASU Gammage Auditorium, Room 301 

CONCERT – Chaparral Christian Church, 6451 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale  
   - Sunday, February 12 – 12:30 PM call, 2:00 PM concert
